A young man who was employed as a Mobile Money attendant has reportedly fled with GHS 8,000 on his first day at work.
According to a report by Crime Check TV, the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, after the suspect approached a MoMo agent under the pretext of seeking employment.
The business owner, moved by his request, decided to give him a chance and offered on-the-job training, taking him through the basics of handling transactions and customer service.

However, before the close of business, the new recruit asked to use the washroom while his boss briefly stepped out to attend to another matter.
It was during that moment that he emptied the agent’s cash drawer and made away with over GH¢8,000.
The suspect has since gone into hiding, and efforts to reach him have proven futile as his mobile phone remains switched off.
A video showing the alleged culprit has surfaced online, with members of the public being urged to help identify and locate him.
