Rashid Ibrahim, elected as the 59th President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS)
The Legal Green Association (LGA) has extended heartfelt congratulations to Lawyer Rashid Ibrahim, a former treasurer of the association, on his election as the 59th President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the association described his victory as “an impressive feat” that affirms his capacity for national leadership. It also highlighted that his election, coming shortly after his Call to the Bar, reflects a well-rounded leader capable of handling the weighty responsibilities of Ghana’s foremost student body.
“This triumph, along with your recent Call to the Bar, demonstrates a multifaceted leader who can manage the national students’ front and the huge responsibilities that accompany the position. LGA stands proud of you and your achievement,” the statement said.
The association also commended its immediate past leader, Lawyer Kabu Nartey, who served as campaign manager for Team Rashid Ibrahim during the NUGS election. According to the statement, his mentorship and strategic insight were instrumental in securing the decisive victory.
“Your distinguished consigliere, mentorship, and strategic acumen have once again been evident in Rashid Ibrahim Esq’s decisive victory as NUGS President,” it noted.
The current leadership of the Legal Green Association, led by Festus Matey and Evans Mawunyo Tsikata, pledged their readiness to collaborate with the newly elected NUGS President to advance student welfare and leadership development.
“The current leadership of the Legal Green Association stands ready to work with you—to lend ideas, energy, and the unshakable solidarity that has always defined our fellowship,” the statement added.
Concluding with a message of inspiration, the association urged the new NUGS President to lead with purpose and integrity.
“May your tenure remind us that leadership is not about power, but purpose. Long live the Legal Green Association. Victoriam ad Victoriam!”
