A 23-year-old disc jockey, identified as DJ Kinaata has died following a curse placed on him by his ex-girlfriend.
According to an emotional account given by the deceased’s mother, her son’s health began to deteriorate mysteriously weeks after breaking up with his girlfriend.
Initially she believed it was a medical condition hence she she took him to several hospitals, where multiple tests were conducted but doctors reportedly found nothing wrong with him.
Despite the clean bill of health, DJ Kinaata’s condition worsened. He grew extremely lean, weak, and unable to perform basic tasks without assistance.

Fearing a spiritual attack, the family consulted a local fetish priest, who revealed that the young DJ had been cursed by his ex-girlfriend after she accused him of “using and dumping” her.
Following the revelation, the family visited the young woman’s father to plead for his daughter to revoke the curse.
They reportedly presented GHS 2,000, clothes, crates of eggs, and a pair of sandals as part of the traditional appeasement items.
However, tragedy struck when, on the scheduled day for the curse reversal, the lady allegedly forgot the specific river deity she had invoked during the curse.
This delay, according to DJ kinaata’s mother, forced them to seek further assistance from other spiritualists but it was already too late.
DJ Kinaata reportedly died before the rituals could be completed.
