The media aide to the Zamfara State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Muhammad Isah, has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Isah, who served under the PDP State Chairman, Hon. Jamil Jibo Magayaki, announced his defection on Monday, citing recent developments within the party as his reason for leaving.
Daily Post reports that his move comes just weeks after the PDP candidate in the Kaura Namoda South State Constituency bye-election, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Kurya, also joined the APC following his defeat in the August 21 poll.
“I recall the Kaura Namoda South bye-election held on August 21, 2025, where the APC candidate secured victory with a landslide margin,” Isah said.
His defection adds to the growing list of PDP members crossing over to the ruling APC in Zamfara, amid concerns over dwindling confidence in the opposition party’s structure in the state.
