Kun Khalifat FC Chairman, Michelle Amaefula has boasted that his team will soon be playing continental football after their first away victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
The Owerri-based club defeated Bayelsa United 2-1 at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Sunday.
Uche Moses and Olubode Hassan goals gave Kun Khalifat maximum points in the game.
Jawad Mustapha grabbed the consolation goal for Bayelsa United.
“I told you that we are coming to NPFL now we are here sooner or later you will see us in a CAF competition and we will play at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.” Amaefula said after the game.
Kun Khalifat FC are now unbeaten in their last two league matches.
They will do battle with Bendel Insurance next at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
