5th EndSARS memorial: ‘2020 massacre can never be forgiven’ – Macaroni tells Nigerian leaders

Popular Nigerian content creator and active EndSARS activist, Debo Adebowale, better known as Mr. Macaroni, has noted that the October 20, 2020, Lekki killing can never be forgiven.

He stated this on Monday morning in a post shared on X to mark the fifth anniversary of the EndSARS memorial.

Recounting his EndSARS protest experience, Macaroni insisted that Nigerian leaders will never be forgiven for the mass killing of harmless protesters by the military.

“Nigerian youths lost their lives, jobs, families, and dreams at the hands of the most corrupt and evil people we call leaders! Even though my people are now in love with their oppressors, this day, 20/10/2020, is never to be forgotten nor forgiven!” he wrote.

DAILY POST reports that Nigerian youths staged a nationwide protest in 2020 with the hashtag #EndSARS.

The protest was against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), an allegedly notorious unit of the Nigeria Police with a long record of abuse against citizens.
