KMA Clinic reopens after temporary closure by HeFRA

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced that its clinic has resumed full operations following a temporary closure by the Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA).

In a statement issued on Thursday, October 16, 2025, and signed by the KMA’s Public Relations Officer, Henrietta A.K. Aboagye, the Assembly said the clinic was closed on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, but has since been reopened and is fully operational as of Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

According to the Assembly, the closure was necessitated by certain licensing issues that have now been resolved between KMA and HeFRA.

“Management of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) and the Metro Health Directorate wish to inform the general public that following the temporal closure of the KMA Clinic by the Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA) on Tuesday 14th October 2025, the facility has since been re-opened and fully operational as of Wednesday 15th October 2025,” the statement said.

The KMA assured residents of Kumasi that it remains committed to delivering quality and reliable healthcare services to the people of the metropolis.

“Management wishes to assure the public that it remains committed in providing quality and reliable health care services to the people of the metropolis,” it added.

The Assembly also apologised for any inconvenience the temporary closure may have caused and expressed appreciation for the public’s cooperation and understanding.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience the temporal closure may have caused and appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all stakeholders,” the statement added.
