The Head Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Christian Frimpong, has expressed strong belief that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is divinely favored to lead the country and move it forward.
Speaking during Dr. Bawumia’s campaign visit to Kwame Danso in the Bono East Region on Wednesday, Rev. Frimpong said Bawumia’s defeat in the 2024 election—his first attempt at the presidency—was part of a divine plan to prepare him, despite the negativity that was deliberately directed against him.
“So many bad things were said about this noble man. Even if he had won, people would have viewed him through the lens of those false perceptions. So, God allowed it to happen that way to preserve him and bring him back at the right time, after events had vindicated him,” the head pastor said.
“I am a pastor, and I speak with honesty. What we are seeing already clearly shows that this man is honored.”
“So many people are secretly praying for you because they believe you are the one who will save this country and move it forward.”
Rev. Frimpong likened Dr. Bawumia to Solomon, saying he has been blessed with the wisdom to take the country to another level.
“You are the Solomon of our time,” he said.
“Solomon was a wise man and a man of vision. We are confident that you, too, are the one to move this country forward.”
“God has already placed His hand on you, and no man can change that. No one should lay hands on your head and claim to be doing anything.”
