2026 World Cup: 4 African countries in playoffs confirmed

The four African countries that have proceeded to the 2026 World Cup playoffs have confirmed.
This follows the conclusion of the qualifying series on Tuesday night.
They are Gabon, Cameroon, Nigeria and Congo DR.
Gabon confirmed second place in Group F with a 2–0 win against Burundi and Ivory Coast’s thumping of Kenya to win the group.
Cameroon joined them after placing second in Group D behind Cape Verde.
The Super Eagles beat Benin Republic 4-0 to boost their goal difference and qualify.
DR Congo claimed a narrow 1–0 win over Sudan to finish runners-up in Group B behind Senegal.
The play-offs are scheduled to take place in Morocco from November 13 to 16.
