The video, which has since gone viral across several social media platforms has since sparked discussions about the growing hardship faced by single parents in Nigeria, particularly women struggling to raise children without support.

Netizens Reactions

@NaijaDentist – This is heartbreaking on every level. A woman shouldn’t have to sell her property to feed a child both parents brought into the world. I say this all the time fatherhood is not ejaculation; it’s responsibility. Too many men abandon their roles and still want to be called “men.” Even if love fades, duty shouldn’t. Women must learn that lust is not love; character sustains responsibility. Choose men who think beyond pleasure; men who can stand when life hits.

@Nkyezwnwa – I feel for her… I hope the father of her child and her family members come through for her… Most importantly get a Job to sustain herself and baby.

@Dammi Esq – This is truly heartbreaking. No mother should ever have to choose between her phone and feeding her child. Life is really tough out there, may help and hope find her soon.

@LINTNBRS – You’ll be fine. You’ll still have sex without protection. Men do times 10 of this daily. Carry your cross. You’ll eventually be fine.
