Ghana to host 2025 ADEA Triennale to shape Africa’s education future

Ghana will host the 2025 Triennial of the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) in Accra from October 29 to 31, 2025.

The major continental event will take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu announced that the conference will bring together education experts, policymakers, and partners from across Africa to discuss ways to improve learning outcomes, promote the use of technology in education, and strengthen technical and higher education systems.

Mr. Iddrisu said Ghana is proud to host the gathering, describing it as an opportunity to lead discussions on the future of education on the continent.

“Like it or not, artificial intelligence will affect the way we learn, the way we teach, and the way education will be governed in the future. It’s important that we situate the country as experts discuss these matters,” he said.

According to the Education Minister, participants will commit to actions that will accelerate learning outcomes for millions of African children and strengthen collaboration among governments, development partners, and education stakeholders.

The Triennale will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and learning from proven strategies that transform educational challenges into opportunities.
