A 2018 divorce notice from Akosua Serwaa, the legally wedded wife of Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has resurfaced online and sparked intense discussion across social media.
The legal document, which has gone viral outlines disturbing allegations that paint a dark picture of the couple’s relationship and the alleged abuse Akosua Serwaa endured during their marriage.
In the notice, Akosua Serwaa accused the celebrated musician privately known as Charles Kwadwo Fosuh of repeatedly subjecting her to both physical and psychological abuse over the years.

She alleged that behind Daddy Lumba’s calm and charming public image was a man who “violently abused her physically and psychologically,” leaving her with numerous scars and a nearly deformed lip.
“She opines that contrary to your cool public image, you have countlessly violently abused her physically and psychologically; she has many marks on her body and an almost deformed lip to confirm your violent and abusive nature,” part of the notice read.
According to Akosua Serwaa, the visible injury mark on her upper lip was a result of one of the many assaults she allegedly suffered at the hands of the musician.
The resurfaced court notice has since stirred public reaction, with many expressing shock over the revelations involving one of Ghana’s most respected highlife icons.
