Trump to declare ‘historic dawn of a new Middle East’ in Knesset address

US President Donald Trump is expected to declare “the historic dawn of a new Middle East” during his highly anticipated speech to the Israeli Knesset, according to excerpts released to the press on Monday.
In his address, Trump will hail the recent regional peace breakthroughs and the return of hostages from Gaza as turning points for Israel and its neighbors.
“It is an incredible triumph for Israel and the world to have all of these nations working together as partners in peace,” Trump will say.
“Generations from now, this will be remembered as the moment that everything began to change.”
Referring to the October 7 attacks, Trump will describe them as “the cruelty that struck to the core of humanity itself,” and will reaffirm Washington’s unwavering solidarity with Israel.
“To all the families whose lives were forever changed by the atrocities of that day, and to all the people of Israel, please know that America joins you in those two everlasting vows: NEVER FORGET, and NEVER AGAIN,” he will say.
Trump’s remarks will urge Israel to shift from military success to a broader vision of peace.
“Now, it is time to translate these victories against terrorists on the battlefield into the ultimate prize of peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East,” he will note.
The president is also expected to extend an olive branch to Iran, suggesting that Tehran could “join the circle of peace,” while stating that “those who seek to destroy this nation are doomed to bitter failure.”
“Israel is strong, and it will live and thrive forever,” Trump will declare.
Turning to the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Trump will call on residents to focus on “restoring the fundamentals of stability, safety, dignity, and economic development, so they can finally have the better life their children deserve.”
Trump’s speech will point out the enduring US-Israel alliance, recalling decades of cooperation and shared struggle.
“From the very first day that modern Israel was founded, we have stood together through trial and setback, through victory and defeat.
And this week, against all odds, we have done the impossible and brought our hostages home,” he will say.
Following his Knesset address, Trump is scheduled to travel to Egypt for a peace summit alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, continuing efforts to consolidate a new regional order built on reconciliation and stability.
