It was Rivers United’s first defeat in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

The visitors doubled their advantage through Chinedu Emmanuel 19 minutes from time.
Stephan Manyo reduced the deficit for Rivers United deep into stoppage time.
