Fire Oja’s doom prophecy about the Blackstars fails

Prophet Fire Oja who predicted that the Black Stars would fail to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been proven wrong after Ghana secured their spot at the global showpiece.
Ahead of the qualifiers, Prophet Oja publicly declared that Ghana’s performance would be “abysmal” and that the team would miss out on qualification, much like their disappointing campaign at the last Africa Cup of Nations.
He warned that Ghanaians would heap insults on the players and technical team, predicting chaos and failure throughout the qualification series.

However, the Black Stars defied the prophecy, booking their ticket to the 2026 World Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Comoros in their final Group I qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The crucial win did not only seal Ghana’s qualification but also made Otto Addo the first coach in history to guide the national team to back-to-back World Cup appearances, following his success in leading them to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
This achievement marks Ghana’s fifth appearance at football’s biggest tournament, further solidifying the Black Stars’ reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent footballing nations.
