EGA clinches 4th COESA Netball title

A combined team from the Eastern and Greater Accra regions (EGA) has once again proven their dominance in college netball, clinching the Colleges of Education Sports Association (COESA) Netball Championship for a record fourth consecutive year.
EGA opened their title defence in emphatic fashion, thrashing Northern by 56–7. They followed up with a hard-fought 26–23 victory over fierce rivals Central Western (CentWest) before sweeping aside Volta with a commanding 45–10 win.

The defending champions sealed their triumph with another impressive performance, defeating Ashanti Brong Ahafo (ASHBA) 36–7 to complete their unbeaten run.
The competition, which showcased outstanding netball skills, teamwork, and healthy rivalry, saw CentWest finish with silver, earning nine points from a possible 12. Volta claimed the bronze with six points, while ASHBA and Northern placed fourth and fifth respectively.

EGA’s consistency and precision throughout the tournament highlighted their class and preparation, cementing their place as the most successful team in recent COESA history.
The individual highlight of the tournament was Gifty Boakyewah, who was deservedly crowned Best Player of the competition for her exceptional skill, leadership, and contribution to EGA’s triumph.
