2026 WCQ: We won’t go down easily against South Africa – Rwanda coach Amrouche

Rwanda head coach Adel Amrouche has warned Bafana Bafana of South Africa that they will not go down easily, DAILY POST reports.

The Amavubi will face Hugo Broos’ side in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying Matchday 10 encounter in Mbombela on Tuesday.

Rwanda are already out of contention for a place at the mundial after suffering a 1–0 defeat to Benin Republic last Friday.

South Africa, on their part, must beat the Amavubi to stand a chance of qualifying for the tournament.

Despite having nothing to play for, Amrouche declared that his team would make things difficult for the South Africans.

“We are disappointed, yes, because we wanted to win that match (against Benin),” Amrouche told reporters ahead of the clash with Bafana Bafana.

“But this is football. What matters now is our reaction, and I can assure you, we will not go down easily against South Africa. We will fight for every ball.”
