Daddy Lumba left behind a will on how he wants to be buried and & properties distributed
The ongoing legal tussle surrounding the funeral and estate of the late music legend, Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has taken a dramatic turn following a stern legal response from the Fosuh Royal Family.
The response, issued by their lawyers, Baba Jamal & Associates, definitively pushes back against the claims of the estranged first wife, Akosua Serwah Fosuh, by asserting the authority of the Royal Family and, more importantly, revealing the existence of Daddy Lumba’s personal, pre-mortem instructions.
Replying to Akosua Serwaa’s court injunction, BABA JAMAL & ASSOCIATES said in a part of their correspondence that;
“As the last lawyers of the late Daddy Lumba before his demise, we have in our custody some instructions from the late Daddy Lumba which serves as a guide to the family as to how he wants his funeral and burial to be conducted as well as the distribution of his estate.”

This statement is the linchpin that the family intends to use to resolve the entire dispute.
These instructions likely detail his preferences for burial location, ceremony type, attendees, and any other specific arrangements, effectively neutralizing the claims of external parties like the estranged wife who wish to dictate the proceedings.
Perhaps most critically, these “instructions” also address the distribution of his estate.
The existence of this document suggests that Daddy Lumba took steps to ensure his properties would be divided according to his desire, benefiting those he intended to support—namely, his children and their mothers, as mentioned in the preceding point.
For the Fosuh Royal Family, possessing this document means they are not relying solely on traditional custom or family consensus, but on the express wish of the man himself.
It is the ultimate tool for ensuring a “peaceful and befitting funeral” by making compliance with the deceased’s intentions a non-negotiable term for any future discussion.
