The late Daddy Lumba’s lawyers have publilcy revealed that his first wife, Akousa Serwaa seeked divorce from him in 2018.
According to Baba Jamal & Associates, Akousa Serwaa personally wrote to Daddy Lumba in 2018 that she was no longer interested in their marriage.
In a reply to Akosua Serwaa’s court injunction on Lumba’s funeral, his family through Baba Jamal and associates alleged that she deserted Daddy Lumba over 15 years ago by refusing to relocate to Ghana to help him when he was seriously ill.

The family claims that the marriage between Daddy Lumba and Akosua Serwah Fosuh was effectively dissolved according to Akan and Fosuh Royal Family traditions.
They state that the late Daddy Lumba acknowledged the traditional drinks presented by the family, which signifies the end of the marital union.
The letter introduced Priscilla Ofori (a.k.a Odo Broni), stating she is a recognized wife of the late Daddy Lumba.
She is said to have lived with him for over fifteen years, raised six children with him, and was there for him after the desertion. The Fosuh Royal Family recognizes her status.
