The Super Eagles have finally arrived Uyo ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matchday 10 encounter against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
The players and their officials were earlier expected to arrive the Akwa Ibom’s state capital on Saturday but were delayed by a flight hitch.
A cracked windscreen on the charted ValueJet Airline aircraft forced the pilot to land the plane in Angola on Saturday.
The contingent arrived Uyo around 8.05 am on Sunday.
They immediately proceeded to their Four Points by Sheraton Hotel after sorting out airport formalities.
Eric Chelle’s side will take on the Cheetahs at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday.
