2026 WCQ: Benin will not beat Nigeria, everything will work in our favour – Williams

South Africa captain, Ronwen Williams, believes Benin Republic will not beat Nigeria in their decisive 2026 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
Bafana Bafana are hoping the Super Eagles win or draw, so they can clinch the sole ticket from Group C.
But Williams and his team-mates would have to defeat Rwanda to keep their side of the bargain.
South Africa’s hopes of qualification was hit following a 0-0 draw with Zimbabwe on Friday.
“If you look back a month ago, everything was clear for us to qualify for the World Cup — [until FIFA deducted three points from us for fielding an ineligible player, Teboho Mokoena, against Lesotho in March],” Williams told Sports Wire.
“But I still feel everything will work out in our favour, and people need to understand that. I believe in fairy tales.”
