Werder Bremen defender, Felix Agu has undergone a successful surgery, the German club has confirmed.
The Nigeria international sustained the injury during Werder Bremen’s Bundesliga clash with St. Pauli last weekend.
Agu was stretchered off the pitch one minute before the break.
After further assessment, it was discovered he copped a syndesmosis ligament injury.
Werder Bremen shared a picture of the left-back after undergoing the surgery on their official website.
The injury is expected to sideline him for a few months.
Agu is now doubtful for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations where the Super Eagles will be chasing a fourth title.
He has been capped once by Nigeria.
