Tackle insecurity by apprehending sponsors – Clergyman to government

The immediate past Secretary General of the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, Rev Yunusa Sabotage Nmadu, has tasked the President Bola Tinubu-led government to tackle insecurity by apprehending those sponsoring the terrorists.
He observed that insecurity has caused a serious setback in the country in all sphere of life in the past decades of its existence.
According to him, “Insecurity has taken Nigeria backwards in all sphere of ramifications and something urgent needs to be done to address the situation in order give Nigerians a conducive environment to showcase their potential, to better their ways of life and that of the country.”
Speaking to newsmen in Kaduna on Thursday at a public presentation and book launch titled: “Faith, Church and Service to Humanity” in his honour by the department of Christian Religious Studies of Kaduna State University, the clergy man said all hands must be on deck to bring an end to what has caused a colossal loss of both human and property in parts of the country.
According to him, faith and society should co-exist to be able to ensure a better country. He lamented that there has a lot killings in different parts of the country, noting that Christian communities have mostly been affected,
He urged the government of the day to continue through the military personnel to ensure the safety of all Nigerians.
According to him, “Most governments in the past paid lip service to the issue of security challenges in the country. I must commend the present administration of Bola Tinubu for doing his best in tackling the challenge.
He also called on Nigerians to play their roles in condemning the activities of those behind the illicit act by exposing anyone found no matter how highly placed in the society in order to get a head way of the situation in the country.
He opined, “Some highly placed Nigerians are doing all they could to frustrate the efforts of government to arrest the situation. Others are also doing so for their selfish interests. Government should use all means to fish them out and bring an end to the security challenges in the country.”
