Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser, Abdullahi Maikaba, has blamed loss of concentration for his team’s 2-0 defeat to holders Remo Stars.
Adama Goita and Alex Oyowah netted for Remo Stars in the matchday seven encounter at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta on Monday.
Maikaba described the defeat as a painful despite his players determination in the game.
“It’s painful because we played well, especially in the first half,” Maikaba stated in a post-match interview.
“My players showed character and followed our tactical plan, but in football, concentration must last until the final whistle.”
Wikki Tourists currently occupy 15th position on the NPFL table with eighth points.
