Pulisic misses penalty as AC Milan held by Juventus

Christian Pulisic missed a penalty as AC Milan failed to take the opportunity to return to the top of Serie A with a goalless draw at Juventus.
The stalemate left Massimiliano Allegri’s side on 13 points, two points behind leaders Napoli and second-placed Roma, while Juventus are a point further back along with Inter Milan.
Juventus forward Jonathan David and Milan’s Mexico striker Santiago Gimenez were both guilty of wasting first-half opportunities, while Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan made a superb point-blank save to deny Federico Gatti.
However, the visitors’ best opportunity came from 12 yards out when Pulisic blazed his spot-kick over after former Newcastle defender Lloyd Kelly brought down Gimenez in the box.
The result ended Milan’s run of five successive victories, while Juventus have now drawn five consecutive matches in all competitions – last achieving the feat in April 2006.
