Maggi Double Chop Promo awards 30 lucky winners nationwide


Maggi, Ghana’s trusted culinary partner, climaxed its nationwide “Double Chop Promotion” with an exciting grand finale that saw 30 lucky consumers walk away with life-changing prizes.

The colourful event took place on Thursday, October 2, at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

The campaign, which received over 150,000 entries across the country, was launched to reward loyal customers while celebrating the richness and diversity of Ghanaian cuisine. Over 3,500 people were rewarded during the mini draws, leading up to the grand event where the final winners were crowned.

Prizes included three 70-inch televisions, three double-door fridges, three side-by-side fridges, five gas cookers with ovens, five microwaves, five washing machines, and cash rewards of GH₵3,000, GH₵5,000, and GH₵10,000 to selected winners.

In her welcome address, the Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana, Salomé Azavedo, described the promotion as a celebration of everyday heroes who bring Ghanaian food to life.

“This campaign is all about celebrating you, our amazing customers and consumers who bring food to life with passion and creativity in every ‘Fufu’ or ‘Waakye’ joint around Ghana. Maggi Double Chop promotion was designed to celebrate everyday heroes, the mothers, the fathers, the chefs, the food lovers who use Maggi to add that special touch to every single meal. 

“We have seen your recipes, heard your testimonies and watched your excitement grow with every winning moment. Thank you for trusting Maggi to be part of your culinary journey. Our winners, congratulations. You have chopped your way to victory, and we hope the prizes bring even more flavour to your kitchens. Let us keep chopping, keep cooking, and keep winning together,” she said.

The National Lottery Authority (NLA), which regulated the promotion, stated that it ensured fairness and integrity throughout the process.

“As the regulator, the NLA’s primary responsibility has been to ensure that every aspect of this promo is conducted with the highest standards of transparency and fairness.

“With the support of our technology partner, every entry was securely captured and processed, guaranteeing a fair and impartial draw. The NLA has closely monitored the process to ensure the highest standards of integrity,” the NLA said.

Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Manager for Nestlé Ghana, Deborah Kwabla, also stated that the promotion was Nestlé’s way of giving back to its consumers.

“Maggi organised this promotion because it is actually our firm belief that consumers make the brand. And so the consumers of Maggi are the ones that make the Maggi brand and they are the reasons we continue to produce Maggi. So this double chop promo is to give back to these same consumers who make the brand,” she said.

Madam Kwablah continued, “Consumers make the Maggi brand, and this Double Chop Promo is our way of saying thank you for the loyalty and trust. Over 3,500 people have won prizes, and today we awarded the 30 grand prize winners. It is their brand, and this is our appreciation.”

The grand finale brought smiles to many homes and reaffirmed Maggi’s role not just as a culinary brand but as a household name dedicated to enriching the lives of Ghanaians.
