Female student in Okadjakrom SHTS alleged sexual misconduct completed WASSCE — GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has disclosed that it is yet to reach the female student involved in the alleged sexual misconduct case at Okadjakrom Senior High Technical School in the Oti Region because she has completed school and left campus.

Head of Public Relations at GES, Daniel Feyi, explained on The Pulse on JoyNews that the student’s departure has made it uneasy to immediately involve her in the ongoing investigation.

“For the specific case we are dealing with, the content is a bit nuanced because the lady involved is actually done with the WASSCE (West African Senior School Certificate Examination) and left the school campus,” he said on the show on Thursday following the interdiction.

“Only that they actually left campus to their homes, because they have completed school their content has become nuance if we had her on campus then access would have been quite easier,” he added.

He, however, assured that efforts were underway to locate the student and her parents to support the investigation process.

“Because of the investigation, we are reaching out to her and not only her but her family.”

The teacher at the centre of the incident, Mr Mfo Richard Tibetor, has been interdicted and barred from entering the school while investigations continue.

The case follows the circulation of a video on social media allegedly involving the teacher and the student.
