The National Emerging Leaders Economic Forum (NELEF) 2025, held on September 22 at the UPSA Auditorium, highlighted VODEC Africa’s commitment to youth empowerment and innovation, as the organisation awarded 10 outstanding businesses with support packages worth GH₵120,000 under the VODEC Africa Idea Challenge 2025.
The journey began with hundreds of applications nationwide, from which 36 entrepreneurs were shortlisted. These finalists participated in a capacity-building workshop, gaining critical skills in business development, strategy, and pitching.
They later presented their ideas at a Pitch Event at the Accra City Hotel, where a distinguished panel of judges assessed their innovations.
From this competitive process, 10 winners were selected and celebrated at NELEF 2025, receiving funding support ranging from GH₵5,000 to GH₵30,000.
Their businesses span diverse sectors — agriculture, agritech, manufacturing, technology, and personal care — each addressing unique national and global challenges.

The initiative reaffirms VODEC Africa’s commitment to equipping Ghana’s youth with the tools, opportunities, and platforms to lead national transformation.
The Idea Challenge will continue to serve as a launchpad for innovative businesses, reinforcing the role of young entrepreneurs in driving sustainable economic development.
