NPP must focus on solutions, not endless talk – Boakye Agyarko

Former Energy Minister, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, has cautioned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against what he describes as excessive public bickering.

According to him, Ghanaians are more concerned about solutions to their daily challenges than political noise.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr Agyarko warned that the party risks losing public confidence if it continues with internal disputes in the open.

“The NPP does too much talking in public. That is not what Ghanaians want to hear. When they vote, they expect solutions to their daily problems, not unnecessary arguments among politicians,” he stressed.

Touching on the ongoing dispute involving Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, and the party’s leadership, Mr Agyarko advised that such issues be resolved internally.

“Abronye should not have responded in public. He could have simply called the General Secretary. These things can be solved without all the noise,” he added.

His comments come after Abronye expressed readiness to appear before the NPP’s National Disciplinary Committee, following a petition submitted against him by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

Mr Boakye Agyarko, a former Energy Minister, officially announced his intention today to contest the national chairmanship position of the NPP.
