Nasarawa: Police to begin tinted glass permit enforcement October 2

The Nasarawa State Police Command has announced that nationwide enforcement of the tinted glass permit for vehicles will begin on October 2, 2025, urging motorists to comply with the directive to avoid sanctions.

According to a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Ramhan Nansel, the online registration process is already active, and vehicle owners are expected to complete the necessary steps before the enforcement date.

Applicants are required to log on to www.possap.gov.ng, register with their NIN, BVN, or TIN, and then proceed to the State Intelligence Department (SID), Police Headquarters, Lafia, for biometric capturing.

The command stressed that the biometric exercise is free of charge.

For motorists who prefer in-person processing, the statement noted that physical registration and biometric capturing can also be carried out directly at the Police Headquarters on Shendam Road, Lafia.

“The command strongly advises members of the public to comply with this directive and avoid patronizing unauthorized persons or agents who may attempt to exploit the process,” the statement read in part.

The police further assured residents that the initiative is aimed at strengthening security and transparency while safeguarding road users.
