‘Something special’ – Trump hints at breakthrough in Gaza ceasefire plan

US President Donald Trump signaled fresh optimism for a potential Gaza ceasefire agreement, posting a series of emphatic messages on his Truth Social platform ahead of a key White House meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We have a real chance for GREATNESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST. ALL ARE ON BOARD FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL,” Trump wrote in all caps, adding in a follow-up post: “FIRST TIME EVER. WE WILL GET IT DONE!!!”
The comments come as the United States pushes a new plan aimed at halting the months-long war in Gaza.
Details of the proposal, reported Wednesday by The Times of Israel, remain under wraps, but Trump has hinted that a historic deal could be within reach.
Last week, the president said he would first need to meet Netanyahu before any final agreement could be announced. The Israeli leader is scheduled to arrive in Washington tomorrow for high-stakes talks at the White House.
Despite Trump’s confident tone, it remains unclear whether all parties are actually aligned. Hamas said Thursday it has not yet received the American plan, while Israeli officials have so far declined to confirm their position publicly.
