Poland 2026Q: Black Princesses beat Tunisia to set up South Africa clash in next round



Ghana’s Black Princesses booked a place in the next round of the U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers following their win over Tunisia at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Goals from Mercy Attobrah and substitute Agnes Yeboah sealed a 2-0 win at home following their two-goal advantage from the first leg.

The Princesses came into the fixture on the back of a similar win in the first leg in Tunisia, where Mercy Attobrah scored both goals.

Charles Sampson made three changes to the team from the first leg, with Precious Asante, Theresa Darko, and Latifa Musah all coming into the starting lineup.

Sampson’s side missed loads of chances in the opening minutes of the game before they eventually scored twice, one in each half.

Attobrah headed home Ivy Osei Owusu’s cross deep into halftime to open the scoring before Agnes scored right at the start ot the second half to wrap up the win.

The tie finished 4-0 on aggregate from the two games, taking Ghana into the next round.

The Black Princesses will now face South Africa in the next round of the qualifying series after the latter’s impressive win over Eswatini.

The Princesses are chasing an eighth successive appearance at the World Cup.
