Armed bandits stormed Ogba-Ayo community in Oke-Ode town, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing scores of residents in a fresh attack in the area.
The Baale of the community, his two children and scores were among those murdered during the attack which occurred at about 0735hours on Sunday.
Security sources also informed DAILY POST that one Doctor Femi, (aka Baba Gold) and two others have been declared missing following the attack.
Bandits have in recent days laid siege on some communities in Ifelodun LGA, leading to residents deserting their ancestral homes for safer areas.
The Sunday attack on Ogba-Ayo community is coming barely hours after the state police command announced the arrest of three kidnappers at Babanla-Oreke-Oke-Ode axis in a joint operation carried out on September 26,2025.
The three suspects, Mohammed Abubakar, Hussein both of Tsaragi town and Tukur Ibrahim, identified as a notorious kidnapper, were allegedly involved in the invasion of Babanla on August 8, 2025, according to a news bulletin released by the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, last week.
Efforts to reach the police command’s spokesperson on the Sunday attack on Ogba-Ayo community were not successful at the time of this report.
