UNGA80: Analyst, Iroegbu knocks Tinubu for being absent

A public affairs analyst, Dickson Iroegbu, has slammed president Bola Tinubu for not being present at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA 80.
Speaking in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television, Iroegbu lamented that it was the second time the president was absent at UNGA to push for Nigeria’s interests.
“Yes, Vice President Kashim Stettima can represent him, but that level of meeting of heads of state and the need for our own president’s presence need to be taken seriously.
“The Vice-President has made his speech but at the home front, what is it like? We cannot be relating with the global community as though we are isolated from them.
“They know how our home is; that some of the things we are clamouring for, we are not able to keep them and ensure that citizens of our country enjoy those privileges.
“For instance, the two-state solution that the Vice President talked about. Who is fooling who? Here we hunt down our citizens for demanding such things,” he stated.
