FCT road projects fulfillment of Tinubu’s promises – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Friday disclosed that the construction of road projects in the capital city is a fulfillment of President Bola Tinubu’s promises.
Wike said without good road networks, residents of the FCT won’t be able to enjoy other amenities like housing and hospitals.
He spoke during the flagging off of the construction of Access Roads (Arterial Roads N11, N16, N40 and SILS 03) in Karsana District to Renewed Hope Estate in Abuja.
According to Wike: “No city can be said to be a city without a good network of roads, that is basic. Then you talk about other facilities.
“Of all these houses you are seeing here, without any network of roads, it makes no sense. If you want to build a hospital here without roads, it makes no sense; if you want to build schools here without roads, it makes no sense.
“So the first thing you must provide as to appoint even investors is the road network, which is what we are doing. And before you know it, all here would have been broken.”
The minister assured the residents of Kasana District that discussions have been made with the contractor handling the road project to ensure that funds are available and by the third year anniversary of Tinubu, “we will achieve the inauguration of this road network.”
He added: “Let me commend ES and his team for what they are doing to make sure that these several road network contracts are going on, have been completed and with the quality required.
“All we ask for is for the residents here and the community to keep to support the company so that they are able to achieve on time.
“Again, it’s a promise made by the Renewed Hope Agenda under the leadership of His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It’s a promise made and it’s a promise kept.”
