NPFL: Elegbeleye commends players on abstinence from drugs

The chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Gbenga Elegbeleye, has commended players for a clean bill in the results of random tests carried out by the National Anti-Doping Committee, NADC, of Nigeria.

The NPFL chairman praised the players for sticking to the rules.

“I’m very satisfied with the outcome of the tests on our players carried out by the NADC and I want to commend our players for staying clean,” Elegbeleye said in his reaction to the content of the letter.

NADC assured that it will continue with the drug-testing exercise with the support of NPFL.

DAILY POST recalls that the drug-testing exercise commenced during the 2023–24 season.

The exercise is in line with the World Doping Code.
