Economist Adetilewa Adebajo faults Tinubu’s administration for reckless fiscal spending

An economist, Adetilewa Adebajo, has said that one of the problems of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is fiscal spending.
Adebajo made this statement on Thursday while responding to questions in an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.
He said that Tinubu’s administration is “a bit reckless”, which requires checks.
“Tinubu is going in the right direction, but the only issue I have with his administration is fiscal spending. It’s a bit reckless, and it needs to be curtailed.
“And I think that is what’s driving core inflation. If you take a look at discounting inflation, let’s take food inflation out. It’s something they can control if they fix the insecurity and boost agriculture. You look at energy inflation, it’s something that might be out of control because they removed the subsidy,” he said.
