Nigeria Customs reveals why pre-exam portal for recruitment crashed

Nigeria Customs has stated that its pre-exam portal for recruitment crashed on Monday due to what it described as “high traffic”.

Several Nigerian youths who were shortlisted for the recruitment could not partake in the exercise due to the glitch.

According to the agency, the online pre-test was designed to acquaint candidates with the system ahead of the actual computer-based test, CBT.

With the horrible experience, some candidates on Monday, took to X to pour out their frustration over the glitches.

Some lamented that they had been trying for hours without success, while others questioned the agency’s preparedness.

The agency, while acknowledging the glitches in a post on its official X page, attributed the difficulty to heavy traffic on the portal, urging applicants to keep trying.

“The service is aware of the current issue with the site; we’re actively experiencing high traffic which may cause temporary inaccessibility.

“Kindly keep trying while our team works tirelessly to resolve the issue,” the agency said.
