EPL: He’ll spoil your Arsenal team – Emmanuel Adebayor warns Arteta over Martinelli

Emmanuel Adebayor, ex-Arsenal forward, has cautioned Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that his team will be ‘spoiled’ by Gabriel Martinelli in the coming weeks if he [Arteta] continues to leave the Brazilian international on the bench.
Adebayor made the remarks while speaking on Premier League Productions following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with the Cityzens on Sunday.
Recall that Martinelli came off the bench to secure a point for Arsenal against Pep Guardiola’s side, scoring a late equaliser for the hosts at the Emirates Stadium.
Martinelli has started just two of Arsenal’s opening six matches so far this season.
“When I was on the bench at Arsenal, I knew that I had Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Robin van Persie in front of me, but it was not easy because every weekend I am in Wenger’s office telling him ‘I am here to play,” Adebayor told Premier League Productions.
“We have never seen [Mikel] Arteta go through those moments. Martinelli, I think in a couple of weeks Arsenal will lose him because if he stays on the bench after this game against Man City, the head will start going, then the body will follow, then he will spoil the whole training ground.”
