The police said one of the suspects, who initially identified himself as Lance Corporal Kabiru Musa of the 102 Guard Brigade, FCT Abuja, was later discovered to be impersonating a soldier.
“Further discreet investigation conducted at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse exposed him as a fake soldier,” the police statement explained.
Items recovered from the suspects included seven ATM cards, two driver’s licenses, a fake military ID card, and other incriminating items linked to fraudulent activities.
