Gov Alia approves fresh appointments, constitutes key boards in Benue

Governor Hyacinth Alia has approved fresh appointments across strategic offices and statutory boards in the state.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, the governor said the appointments take immediate effect and are aimed at strengthening governance structures and driving sustainable development.
Those appointed as special advisers and key aides include Linda Ene Agada as Special Adviser on MSMEs and Microfinance, Hon. James Tor as Special Adviser on Politics, Mobilisation and Special Duties, Dr. Shadrach Teryila Ukuma as Director-General of Arts, Culture and Tourism, and Tivlumun Bulya as Personal Assistant on Benue State House of Assembly Matters.
For the Benue State Pension Commission, the governor approved the appointment of Mbajwa Zungwega Nicholas as Chairman, with Umaja A. Alloysius and Asen Sambe as members. Other members are the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Commissioner for Finance, the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, the Head of Service, and the Director-General of the Benue State Planning Commission.
At the Benue Investment and Property Company, Chief Elizabeth Shuluwa will serve as chairman, while Andrew Aondofa Chila, Ashi Iortyom Donald and John Ochonye Oyishoma are members. The Commissioner for Trade and Industry, and the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the State, will also serve as members of the board.
For the Benue Internal Revenue Service, the governor appointed Ande Clement Shianti, Anyam Terzungwe Jeremiah and Elizabeth Onekele as members, along with representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture.
Governor Alia congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience, commitment, and professionalism to bear in the discharge of their duties.
