Oliver Barker-Vormawor Announces 2028 Political Ambition

Famed lawyer and political activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor has exclusively revealed his intention to contest for political office in 2028.

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, who’s a co-convener of the #FixTheCountry Movement, made the declaration in a post on X formerly Twitter.

In the post, he stated that he is preparing to join Ghana’s political landscape in 2028.

Although he did not disclose the specific office he plans to pursue or whether he will contest on the ticket of a political party or as an independent candidate, his announcement has already generated wide public interest.

In recent years, he has become one of the most vocal critics of successive governments by consistently calling out leadership failures and demanding accountability in governance.

His activism has also seen him on the frontlines of national debates on democracy, corruption, and economic hardship.

The move into politics suggests a natural progression for the Cambridge-trained lawyer, who has argued in the past that real systemic change requires active participation in decision-making spaces.
