I started with 500 Cedis- MFK shares rags-to-riches story as she donates to Cherub orphanage on her birthday

Numerous successful persons came from privileged backgrounds and all they needed to do was coast through life, but for others, they had to claw their way to the top.

More often than not, it’s the latter that inspires a lot of people that it shall be well for them as well one day and the story of Maame Frimpomaa Korankye, known by the pseudonym MFK is a perfect example.

Her entrance, akin to the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, MFK took time out of her busy schedule to visit the Cherubs Orphanage located at Santasi Apire in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital to celebrate her birthday with the orphans.

MFK disclosed during an interview that seeing a smile on the faces of the orphaned children is a promise she wishes to keep.

The media personality shared how she started with this project of seeing a smile on the faces of orphans even when she had nothing and perhaps, sometimes depended on alms for survival.

According to MFK, “A year has been added to my years. We started with many people, but when we turn around, we don’t see most of these people. So if God has added a year to my years, I have to come and thank Him”.

She added, “I started this project in 2019 when I was in Techiman. When I started, it will surprise you that I started with 500 Ghana Cedis. With that, I was unable to buy things, so, what I did was to put the money in an envelope and give it out. I did this until the last two years when I could buy things for the orphaned children”.
