Nigeria vs Rwanda: ‘I’m not happy’ – Siasia on one decision by Chelle

Former Super Eagles coach and player, Samson Siasia, has said he is not happy with coach Eric Chelle’s decision to bench captain William Troost-Ekong in Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo on Saturday.
The Super Eagles take on Rwanda in the all-important qualifying game on Saturday.
Nigeria must win the game to stand any chance of qualifying for the World Cup in the United States next year.
Nigeria’s Malian manager decided to drop captain Troost-Ekong for Belgium based defender, Benjamin Fredrick.
Speaking on DSTV’s Super Sport, Siasia said he was not happy with the decision.
“I wanted to say something too. Yeah, I’m not happy about this Troost-Ekong being drop.
“You know, I would have liked him to start because of his experience. Make no mistakes, but I think he’s a great leader. Let’s just say it’s a tactical thing.”
A win over Rwanda will keep Nigeria’s hope of qualifying for the World Cup alive.
