EPL: Ruud Gullit names who’s Man United’s problem

Netherlands legend, Ruud Gullit has said that the problem with Manchester United resides in the club and not about the players.

According to the football legend, the problem with Manchester United is Manchester United and not the players.

He said the way the club has been run since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, a man who had so much authority on almost everything, is the problem.

The Red Devils again suffered an embarrassing defeat in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, crashing out of the league cup to Grimsby Town.

Gullit pointed out that players who left the club to some other clubs within this period ended up doing greatly at their new sides.

He used Scott McTominay, [Napoli], Marcus Rashford, [Aston Villa, Barcelona] and Antony, [Real Betis] as examples.

The Red Devils ended last season in 15th place in the EPL table, a record low for the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the first player to express his disappointment at the level of decay at the club since after the reigns of Ferguson.

Players impress at other clubs but once they step into Old Trafford they struggle to make a positive impact.

Managers have come and gone yet no improvement as players walk away and turn their careers around at other clubs.

Speaking in Rondo, a talk show on Ziggo Sport, the Dutchman quoted by Transfer News Live, said, “Everyone who leaves Manchester United suddenly plays great at their new club.

“Scott McTominay at Napoli, Marcus Rashford at Aston Villa, and Antony at Real Betis. Manchester United is the problem, 100%.”

Up next for the Red Devils and Ruben Amorim is a Premier League clash with Burnley at the weekend.
