NNL Chairman Aluo thumbs up promoted teams performance in NPFL opener

The Nigeria National League, NNL Chairman, George Aluo, has lauded the impressive performance of the four newly promoted clubs in the opening fixtures of the 2025-26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.
DAILY POST reports that Warri Wolves defeated Katsina United away, Wikki Tourists beat Plateau United, Kun Khalifat and Barau FC played out a goalless draw against Rangers and Enyimba respectively.
Aluo emphasized that the results reflected the strength and competitiveness of the NNL.
“It’s a wonderful performance by the four teams that gained promotion at the end of last season,” Aluo remarked.
“Warri Wolves defeated Katsina United away, Wikki Tourists beat Plateau United, Kun Khalifat held Rangers International to a goalless draw, and Barau FC also drew 0-0 with Enyimba in Kano. It was a good way to start.”
Warri Wolves won the 2024-25 NNL title last season.
