NPFL: Niger Tornadoes provide update on stadium renovation

Niger Tornadoes are optimistic of getting approval to host their home matches at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna.

DAILY POST recalls that the venue had earlier failed to meet the NPFL’s requirements to host matches this season.

Niger Tornadoes stated that the ground has recently undergone renovation.

The Chanji Boys now await clearance from the NPFL to use the stadium.

“Our ground, the Bako Kontagora Stadium has undergone the minor repairs to meet NFF club licensing requirements,” Niger Tornadoes wrote in a statement on Sunday.

“We await NFF final verdicts regarding the stadium to host future matches.”

Niger Tornadoes will play their opening fixture of the season against Nasarawa United in Ilorin on Wednesday.
