‘We’ll ignore you for now, just focus on Barça’ – Gary Neville replies Rashford

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has said it will be better to allow Marcus Rashford to focus on how his football could improve at Barcelona instead of responding to the player’s recent criticism of the Red Devils.

Rashford was again loaned out this season; this time, he was shipped to Barcelona on a season long loan.

The England international recently told The Rest is Football podcast that his parent club, Man United sack managers at the slightest provocation, insisting this was a major problem at Old Trafford.

He asked the Red Devils hierarchy to copy Liverpool and Manchester City, who keep their managers and allow them the time to change things at the clubs.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville was asked what he makes of Rashford’s outburst and the former England international pointed out that Rashford had enough time to make an impact at Old Trafford.

He advised him to start focusing on his new club, Barcelona.

“Let’s ignore that, because I don’t want to go into Marcus Rashford comments tonight.

“He was there at the club for 10 years and had his opportunity to impact the club. Ruben Amorim, this year, I think will do a good job. Marcus should concentrate on Barcelona.”

Rashford played under five different managers at Manchester United since making his senior team debut in 2016.

They include Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Erik ten Hag, and Ruben Amorim.
