Ronaldo reason 80% of fans watch Al Nassr – Jesus

Al-Nassr manager, Jorge Jesus, has described Cristiano Ronaldo as an example to the football world.
This followed the 40-year-old’s selfless display in Al-Nassr’s victory in the Saudi Super Cup on Tuesday night.
At 40, the former Real Madrid man is in the twilight of his career, but he has shown no signs of slowing down.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus superstar has netted as many as 938 goals from 1,281 games across competitions for club and country in his career.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner joined Al-Nassr in 2022 to start a new chapter in his career after falling out with then Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag.
His arrival in Saudi Arabia opened the doors of the Middle East to the rest of the footballing world.
Al-Nassr signed the likes of Inigo Martinez and Joao Felix this summer to strengthen the club in their quest for the Pro League title.
Felix was on the scoresheet for the Knights of Najd as they overcame rivals Al-Ittihad in the semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup.
Jesus noted that 80 per cent of fans attending Al-Nassr games do so because they want to see Ronaldo.
He said, as quoted by Sportskeeda, “Ronaldo is a great example for world football, a 40-year-old player who delivers athletic and physical performance, and let’s not forget that 80% of the fans in attendance are here for Ronaldo, and Al Nassr deserves to have this global star.”
Ronaldo had a golden opportunity to score against Al-Ittihad but decided instead to pass the ball to his international teammate, Felix, who slotted into an empty net.
