Ogun APC suspends Senator Daniel, Folarin over alleged anti-party allegations

Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has confirmed the indefinite suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin over allegations of anti-party conduct.
The decision, endorsed by the State Working Committee, SWC, under the leadership of Chief Yemi Sanusi, followed disciplinary proceedings initiated by Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government.
At its meeting on August 19, with 16 members in attendance, the SWC reviewed reports from the ward-level committees, which accused the two politicians of misconduct and attempts to pressure party members into withdrawing petitions filed against them.
Despite being invited to appear before the panels or submit written defenses, Daniel and Folarin reportedly ignored all summons.
The committees alleged that both men harassed certain members in a bid to frustrate the disciplinary process.
After assessing documentary evidence and testimonies presented, the committees resolved to suspend them indefinitely, pending further review.
According to the SWC, its ratification of the suspension was necessary to uphold the integrity of the party’s constitution and strengthen internal discipline.
APC’s State Director of Publicity, Nuberu Olufemi, confirmed the development, stressing that the party remained committed to fairness, accountability, and respect for its rules and regulations.
